This image was shot in Newbury Port Massachusetts. It was part of my Pattern, Texture and Rhythm series. I took this image with my iPhone, so I didn't have as much control over the camera settings as I would with a DSLR camera. To make up for that, I payed more attention to how I composed the image. To exaggerate the vertical and horizontal lines of the scaffolding, and create an interesting point of view, I shot from the ground looking up.

This is an image that I shot in my living room. I shot it on my sisters nikon d3200. To create a more visually appealing image I incorporated the rule of thirds, and adjusted the aperture to blur the mid and background and kept the foreground in focus. I stacked the magazines on top of each other to create line and repetition in the image. I got close to the magazines, so that you could see the texture on the binding.

I took it at the Getty museum in Los Angeles. This is one of my favorite pictures that I've taken. Like the picture of the scaffolding, I took it from the ground looking up. I incorporated the rule of thirds, and tried to keep the balconies and railings on the third. It is a bit dark, and the clouds got blown out in the left corner, but I felt that the composer of the rest of the picture made up for it.

- I used the book and shelf to frame the camera
-The shelf spits the image, but I think that it helps frame the camera
-I like the coloring and mood of the image
